Minnesota’s legislative session ended Monday, May 19th but the work to pass a budget was not completed ~ As we move into a “Special Session”, backroom deals are being made with little public engagement, oversight, or accountability and these negotiations are taking place outside of any semblance of a formal, democratic committee process.
As erosion to Federal protections & regulatory frameworks are threatened every day, State leadership is our last line of defense to protect the Minnesota we love, a Minnesota where:
- we can eat the fish and swim in the water because the lakes and rivers are clean
- our groundwater is abundant and uncontaminated
- our wetlands and ecosystems thrive with flourishing biodiversity
- we care for all of our relatives
- we lead in our unwavering commitments in the pursuit of climate justice
