Resolutions
Board members, caucus members, and trusted partners worked together for the last several months on the Resolutions Committee, led by Vice Chair Matt Doll, and produced 20 excellent submissions. You can visit our blog and relive Sunday’s forum at which the resolutions were presented, HERE. And you can see the resolutions themselves at THIS LOCATION.
You can download a PDF for any resolution that you wish to support, fill in the missing info (your name, the organizing unit, etc.) and bring the resolution to Caucus on February 27th.
We’ll be sending out a private note to each of you asking you to consider supporting a specific resolution, some time over the next week or so. We hope you can help!
Please also become a delegate to the next level(s) of the Caucus-Convention system so you can help advance these resolutions further, and represent the Caucus in the overall party process.

Prove It First Day
Speaking of resolutions, one of our proposals has to do with the Prove It First legislation that this caucus strongly supports (see this PIF forum).
Friends of the Boundary Waters has organized a Boundary Waters Day at the Capitol, to be held on February 14th. Please click here to learn more about it, and register.
Meanwhile, there is something else you can do to advance this important initiative. This information comes from Friends of the Boundary Waters:
If you live in the Arrowhead, please contact your state senator, Grant Hauschild, and request that he allow a hearing on the flagship legislative initiative, Prove It First.
Prove It First would protect the Boundary Waters and all of Minnesota's waters from copper-sulfide mining by requiring Twin Metals, PolyMet, and other mining companies to prove that this type of mining can be done safely before putting our greatest natural resource — our clean water — at risk.
Please contact Senator Hauschild's office by both email and phone at:
Senator Hauschild email: sen.grant.hauschild@senate.mn
Senator Hauschild phone: 651-296-1789
Your message to Senator Hauschild should be simple, just one or two sentences in your own words in which you identify yourself as a constituent and request that he not block holding a hearing on Prove It First.
Below are starting words for you to adapt into your own voice:
"Dear Senator Hauschild,
I live in _______ and am one of your constituents. I support a Prove It First law to protect the Boundary Waters and the other clean waters of our state from copper-sulfide mining. I ask that you not block a hearing on Prove It First in the Senate Environment Committee. Democracy is best when we discuss important public issues in the public. Thank you."
Speak from the heart.
