WHAT IS A SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY CHAMPION?
As a Scientific Integrity Champion, you'll be trained and supported to:

Engage with the media—give interviews, write op-eds, and raise awareness of threats to science.
Share your story—write blog posts or testimonials about why scientific integrity matters to you and how you've seen it upheld or undermined.
Build a community of advocates who are committed to protecting science from political interference and misuse.
You will gain:
Expert training in science communication and advocacy.
Personalized support from UCS staff and science policy professionals.
Opportunities to participate in campaigns, events, and media outreach.
A platform to publish blogs on the UCS website or partner platforms.
The chance to make a real impact on federal and state policy.
You don't need to be a professional scientist to apply—we're seeking:
Scientists, researchers, and technical experts.
Students and early-career professionals.
Public health and environmental advocates.
Anyone with a strong interest in science-based policy.
Experience with writing, public speaking, or policy is a plus, but not required. We'll provide all the tools you need.
